Advisor Intensive Cohort

What is it?

Several times a year, Embolden brings together a select cohort of community foundation professionals for a multi-week intensive educational and practical program to both learn and implement strategies to deepen engagement with professional advisors.

This program is open to representatives from community foundations who are ready to dive into professional advisor engagement strategies and take their community foundation’s program to the next level, and in the process build long-lasting relationships with peers. The ideal participant is a community foundation professional of any tenure who is new to the professional advisor engagement work or would like to advance their community foundation’s approach to the work.

How does it work?

Peer-to-Peer Discussions

  • Embolden will facilitate a weekly discussion among all five participants over Zoom for 60 minutes at a time determined by the group.

  • Light pre-work and post-work by participants, as well as work by Embolden between sessions, will increase each session’s productivity.

  • Materials will be made available to the participants on a password-protected webpage.

  • A proposed schedule of topics for the sessions appears below; this schedule can be adjusted as the series progresses to accommodate and reflect participants’ input as well as any legal or regulatory changes.

  • Peer-to-peer discussions are designed specifically to address questions and challenges among the cohort participants in a confidential setting where professional vulnerability is encouraged.

One-on-One Coaching Sessions

  • Embolden and each participant will spend 45 minutes together over Zoom, one-on-one, twice during this program (a total of 1.5 hours), at times determined by Embolden and each participant. Each participant may invite one or more colleagues to the one-on-one sessions to further amplify the value of the program.

  • These one-on-one sessions for each participant will combine coaching, consulting, and actual work on priorities for each community foundation participating in the series and be tailored to the needs of the individual participant.

  • Embolden will provide draft materials (talking points, templates, handouts, etc.) to meet needs identified during these sessions to help each participant avoid reinventing the wheel.

What do clients say?

Embolden’s professional advisor intensive was an efficient and effective way to further professional development, and at the same time help our team engage actual attorneys, CPAs, and wealth managers. With a handful of additional best practices now in place, we’re able to work more intentionally to implement our advisor strategies.
