Bringing it back

Years ago, creativity got the best of me when I whipped up my youngest daughter’s fourth birthday cake. Fluffy white cake and devil's food, in alternating layers between buttercream frosting. Topped with a single candle. The test kitchen’s first creation, which was followed by many more cakes, two books, and hundreds of blog posts. Now, a decade later, I’m back at it—sort of.
