The Rhode Island Foundation

The 93-year-old Rhode Island Foundation had a tremendous amount of information to share with varied constituents of both RIF and its related initiatives. RIF was looking to relay its message through beautiful design and to reach its donors, grantees, and other constituents through dynamic web applications.

Solutions:
Embolden created a database-driven website that offers everything from robust nonprofit consultant and scholarship fund directories to online giving.

We developed not only The Rhode Island Foundation site, but also sites for related ventures, such as HousingWorks RI, The Women’s Fund of Rhode Island and Equity Action, that reflect the look and feel of the RIF site while maintaining their own identity.

The Philadelphia Foundation

The Philadelphia Foundation manages more than $350 million in assets in more than 775 charitable funds. It needed a website that could not only showcase its work, but provide customized information for its donors, grantees and professional advisors.

Solutions:
Embolden developed a website that provides special logins for donors, professional advisors and nonprofits that provides them with customized information., including a seamless login with DonorCentral for FIMS accounts. The website also highlights donor and grantee stories to share their experiences with The Philadelphia Foundation.

The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain was founded in 1941 and  invests and administers more than 140 funds with a market value of more than $30 million.

The DeKalb County (Illinois) Community Foundation wanted to connect nonprofit organizations and the areas they serve.

Solutions: Exporting data from FIMS, Embolden developed the DeKalb County Nonprofit Directory, where you can search for nonprofits by the services they offer, the populations or areas they serve.

The Silk Road Project

The Silk Road Project is a not-for-profit artistic, cultural and educational organization founded in 1998 by cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

Solutions: Embolden, working with Hecht Design of Boston, provided usability and technology expertise, to build a website as beautiful as the music of the Silk Road Ensemble, directed by Ma.

Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm)

The Gamm was founded in 1984 by seven members of the graduating class of Trinity Rep Conservatory.

Solutions:
Embolden knew it had to create a website in keeping with the feel of an artistic collective based in the historic Pawtucket  Armory. Visitors to The Gamm's website can learn about upcoming performances as well as buy tickets and donate to the organization online.

Home & Hospice Care of RI

Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island is the third-oldest hospice in the nation and the largest and most experienced hospice agency in Rhode Island.

Solutions: Embolden built an easy-to-use content-management system, provided intuitive navigation and informative copy to help get the word out about HHCRI's services and to educate people on hospice issues.

The Leadership Alliance

The Leadership Alliance, based at Brown University, is an academic consortium of 33 institutions of higher learning that addresses the relatively low participation of underrepresented racial and ethnic minorities in the academic areas as educators, leaders and decision makers.

Solutions: Embolden custom built an online application for The Leadership Alliance Summer Research Early Identification Program, which matches undergraduates with mentors, a robust content-management system, an alumni intranet, and a registration system for the organization's national symposium.

New Jersey Afterschool Directory

New Jersey After 3 is dedicated to expanding and improving after-school opportunities for children and needed a way to connect parents with after-school programs.

Solutions:

Embolden created the New Jersey Afterschool Directory, a dynamic web directory that is a state-wide listing of after-school programs that allows parents to search for programs based on a variety of criteria (geographical location, city or ZIP code, by services offered, etc). It is the first of its kind in the state.

In addition,  NJA3 employees are able to look at organization and program information as well as pull reports with data from the directory for research and outreach purposes.
