Embolden has specialized in web development, design and consulting for community foundations and nonprofit organizations for more than a decade. Take a look at some of our more recent work.

The Rhode Island Foundation

The Rhode Island Foundation

The Rhode Island FoundationThe 93-year-old Rhode Island Foundation had a tremendous amount of information to share with varied constituents of both RIF and its related initiatives. RIF was looking to relay its message through beautiful design and to reach its donors, grantees, and other constituents through dynamic web applications.

Solutions:
Embolden created a database-driven website that offers everything from robust nonprofit consultant and scholarship fund directories to online giving.

We developed not only The Rhode Island Foundation site, but also sites for related ventures, such as HousingWorks RI, The Women’s Fund of Rhode Island and Equity Action, that reflect the look and feel of the RIF site while maintaining their own identity.

Client Since: 1998

Testimonial:
"Out of all the decisions we made during the process of our website redesign, hiring Embolden was by far the smartest. They bring so much to the table: talented, experienced staff who actively listen to client questions, concerns, and input; technical expertise; high energy; and creative, thoughtful, cutting-edge solutions to unanticipated challenges. Add to this their great team spirit, even when meeting impossible deadlines, and you’ve got the whole package. They will manage your project to your budget and your timeline. This is web design for the future."

'Blown Away by the Design'

"I first learned about Embolden five years when I started a project to create a website for a new program area, the NonProfit Center, at Third Sector New England. The center is a physical space and required its own site for prospective tenants and groups wanting to book meeting space.

I interviewed a few companies and was blown away by the design capabilities of Ann-Marie and her team. We worked together again to "freshen" the site two years ago. My team has since worked together with the company on search engine optimization for the much larger TSNE website. And we are now working with them to relaunch the TSNE website.

Embolden has grown quite a bit in the time I've known the staff - a testament to the professionalism, web design and web writing skills of the staff. And, of course, the staff understands the needs of nonprofits and their website visitors - including coming in at or even under budget on projects.

My most amazing moment with the Embolden team? They decided against taking on one part of the project, some of the build out, when they determined that it would be less expensive for TSNE to do some of the work in house with their coaching!"
