As Embolden learns more and more about the needs of our clients, we have been coming up with nifty and simple ways for them to present and administer sometimes large amounts of content on their sites. In the case of community foundations, a common challenge is listing the myriad funds available for donors to invest in.
With nearly 1100 permanent endowment funds, The Rhode Island Foundation wanted to be able to present all of their funds in a way that was as uncomplicated as possible, as well as provide opportunities for folks to learn more, search, and donate directly to any funds of their choosing.
Embolden’s solution: we created a simple directory grid that allows potential donors to sort and search through the entire fund listing. We gave Rhode Island Foundation site administrators the ability to add, delete and edit funds, place “more info” icons in the grid next to any fund about which more information exists, as well as add an optional “Donate” button that takes folks to the site’s online donation form with their particular fund pre-selected.
