We're happy to announce the latest member of the Embolden web development family: The Fund for Community Progress.

The Fund is an alliance of 24 agencies that advocate for fairness and opportunity for Rhode Islanders. They work on affordable energy, housing, and healthcare, mental-health issues, community improvement and sustainability and parenting and youth development.

It's a wonderful organization, with great member agencies. We thought you'd like to check them out...that, and their new website.

It's possible you might have noticed that we have a thing around here for our pets (and kids).

They are all special, of course, but we have a particular place in our hearts for Theo, a greyhound who started life in a non-Embolden-endorsed career as a racer. Rescued by Embolden President Ann-Marie Harrington, his main obligation now is cuddling before the fire with sidekick Ruthie, who is the very definition of loveable, loony pound mutt, and Timothy the cat.

So, imagine our delight that the rest of the world got to meet the First Dogs today, via The Providence Journal this morning. Extra treats all around!

Dec 8 If you have any lingering doubts about the power of social media...this might convince you of its potential.
